Is D.J Fluker a possibility at 14?

He would be an instant upgrade to our offensive live. Even though we haven't shown a great amount of interest in him, I could possibly see him being a wtf pick at 14 that no one saw coming. He would fit the philosophy that Gettlemen has been preaching, having a lot of big tough guys.

He would be an instant starter and he would make the team better, but I don't think he will be the BPA. Seeing as Gettleman is sticking to that philosophy, I only see Fluker as an option in a trade down.

I could see it. I bet some teams have him much higher than other teams. Personally I think he would be like a Jeff Otah-like talent, but who would actually care about football. He would make our run game instantly better and would have potential to be much better at pass protection than Bell because he actually has pretty quick feet for his enormous size.

He could potentially be the 14th best overall player and especially with the glut of talent at WR, DB, and DT we could get him and an impact player at one of those other positions, where we couldn't get an OT of any starting-caliber in the second.

Honestly though, he probably won't make it past 11 or 12. San Diego has no starting tackle on their roster and will have to take him or trade a boatload of picks to move up to grab Johnson. I bet Fluker doesn't get by San Diego and if he does then the Dolphins will draft him.

I think he'll be a good player, but I wouldn't be a huge fan of the pick. If we're taking an OT, it needs to be an OT that can take over for Gross soon. Bell might not be even above average, but he's young with room to grow and already far from the worst player we have at their position.

The interesting thing with him is that some guys think he projects as a stud RG and at the same time can be a starting RT. Hang'man replacement and a Bell backup/insurance policy at the same time. It wouldn't be a bad direction but not my top choice.

It can definitely happen though.

He needs to get alot better in pass pro to play tackle. Think he could be perfect at guard, but still be an upgrade over bell

He's a good player, and he'd be an immediate starter, so I'd be ok with it. Just hope it's not an Otah situation with such a big guy, but Otah was a stud for about 2 seasons, so I'd just hope for this one to work out.

it's high for a right side guy, but he's legit. And, it's better than pushing a left side guy to the right for a couple years. Gross could do it. Most struggle with it.
