Worse 2nd round pick.... Jimmy Clausen or Eric Shelton?

Eric Shelton. At least Jimmy tried and gave us something on the field all be it crap. Quite literally not a single thing I can remember about from Eric except a huge hole lot of nothing. I never remember seeing him on the field, scoring a touch down or just ever playing.

I can't really the call the Jimmy pick bad, at the time. I think it was a great pick at the time in the 2nd, but yeah at this point, it was pretty bad and disappointing.

It's been about 10 years, so I guess I can finally agree that Eric Shelton was a bad pick.

I'm willing to accept the bad Clausen pick, because he has slipped and it was worth taking a shot on him. Shelton just sucked.

I'd consider Jeff Otah to be worse than both of them though, since he cost us a 2nd rounder and a future 1st.

Shelton collapsed like a cheap Walmart lawnchair so he is the winner in this contest. We've had such a string of 2nd round busts... Lets not forget my favorite, Bruce Nelson...

I'd say Shelton; I don't remember the situation for him...but I'm sure we weren't in as bad of a situation as we were with Clausen. Clausen had a lot of weight on his shoulders as a rookie that Shelton didn't and wouldn't have had. No rookie would be jealous of the team Clausen had to inherit.

Jimmy Clausen paved the way for Cam Newton. He may have been one of the Panthers BEST picks.

Shelton was a total waste and only has a handful of carries in his entire career with us. He caused us to pick up an RB in the 1st round 2 out of the next 3 years.

Dwayne Jarrett because it took us ALOT longer to admit he was a mistake and move on than Clausen or Shelton. I would say Everette Brown was worse too, just because we gave up a 1st to get him...suck it Marty
