Did he really say that? Vaccaro and Barron are very different safeties.

It was months ago in an NFL.com article. He played FS last year but from reading his scouting reports he can play both positions. The 2nd comment is the comment I was referring to.

Vaccaro is one of the most aggressive defensive backs to enter the draft in a while, a tough guy who reminds me of Brian Dawkins. He looked great in drills, showing very good recognition skills; his ability to read the offense and make plays with his vision and expertise will overcome OK-but-not-great speed. If he can replicate what he did at the college level, he'll be an excellent pro player for a long time to come.

18) Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas

I think he's every bit as good as Mark Barron, who was picked seventh overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 and went on to have a very good rookie year. The tough Vaccaro is athletic enough to cover the slot receiver; he never slows down .

He is a slot Wr just like adams. Austin has potential to be the very best but that's all he is.

And Adams had 50 rec. his last 2 years in college meaning he was more then just a "Primary returner".

He seems to be doing a lot of lining up at WR and making plays as a slot in this video.

You keep making this comparison that Austin = Adams which totally undermines your credibility. If Adams is that good why are GMs not offering us a 2nd round pick for him. .As far as the the love for a UT we used Hardy quite a bit moving inside on passing downs. We need a NT that does not warrant a 1st unless his name is Star. We have many needs but I think we are looking at those that give us a chance to win next year.

I remember all so well you flaming me last year for suggesting Luke due to the fact Beason Achilles injury and now you are still in love with a DT once again and you attempt to undermine the value of every player so u can tout your DT love. When will you learn?

Not all players take the Luke Kuechly path....Adams may very well simply need to adjustment time to transition into a NFL player.

Plus, the true slot WR doesn't really fit well with what we do on offense so that also further delays someone like Adams

1. I'm not devaluing the player. I think Austin will be a great "slot WR" he has the talent to be one of the best. I'm devaluing the whole position of a "slot Wr". Plain and Simple it's not worth a top 15 pick. The best "slot Wr" in this league (Welker and Cruz) weren't even drafted. I put the position value the same as OG, RB, and #2 TE. Meaning you can find it later in the draft.

2. What you call "love" I call a need we've had since Kris Jenkins and Buck left. To bad I'm not the only person who has seen this be a problem for this team for years.

Is he third on the list or did he pass Vaccaro as the second option? I wouldn't be mad, but I think they could still get him by moving back 4-5 spots and picking up a 3rd round pick.

It is still Vaccaro and Austin as our first choices unless a Milliner or elite T fell to us.
