I want players who creates matchup problems, if that is in the slot then fine. Who cares if he can play the outside. With that said if we go WR I am hoping for Hopkins with Austin a close 2nd

Another big TE can do just as much as a Slot WR.

Plus if you draft a player at 14 I hope you're looking at a player who can take over for Smith in a year not be just another weapon. If we draft Austin this year we will still be looking for Smith replacement next year.

Sure af big TE can do that... But Austin is crazy talented, unlike all the TE in this years draft. Austin can replace Smiths production without playing on the outside.

100% agreed and well said.

again, people are too focused on this idea of need and not looking at the total package a kid like this brings.

he is a threat every where you place him on the field.

I'm not sure why but I'm more excited about this draft than any other I can remember. Maybe because it's so wide open on where will we go.

You have a top ten and then you have a bottom 10.

I don't see one player in the 1st round (outside the top 10) that we couldn't trade down and get an equal or greater value later in the 1st round and pick up another pick.

Austin is no replacement for Smith just like Welker wouldn't be so please don't fool yourself.

Oh spare me your track record. I don't give a poo. I predicted Kuechly (stellar IQ and instincts; great tackler) and Newton (big arm; freakish athleticism) in my final three. Who cares?

You rather listen to scouting analysts like Mel Kiper Jr than rely on your eyes. Honestly, if Vaccaro played for a lower program like Nevada or Iowa, would you have an issue with him being selected in the first? Odds are you would yet the 'consensus' grade would comfort you for some apparent reason.

Yes I think most would rather listen to a guy who gets "paid" to do this then you. I don't come to your house for a Subway Sandwich. I go to the people who gets paid for that.

Rayzor I usually agree with you on almost everything in this forum but I am not sold on Austin. If we pick him I hope the HELL I am wrong but, I see a project not a starter from day one. If he is a 1st rounder he better start.

escobar, please.

that offense would be set for a long time.

Yeah, that'd be great! Get a guy who's a homerun threat and can get you in the redzone. Then get another release valve/ possession guy and a redzone target.

Look at how the Colts added players to help out there QB. Added 2 TEs and a WR to go along with their Vet.

Ginn isn't a good wide out, and Adams has a long way to go before being included in the offense.

Who are you kidding?

Yeah, Ginn isn't much more than a returner and I believe an insurance policy in case we can't draft one and/or Adams continues to disappoint.
