It matters. If you know you're taking a simple test at a job interview, and you don't study for a simple test, that's a red flag by itself. It obviously doesn't drop him a lot, but it matters.

when you have test anxiety or just don't test well, it doesn't matter how much you study for something, you're probably not going to do well. the more pressure put on that one test and having it be a timed test makes it worse.

fortunately the league as a whole doesn't put a whole lot of emphasis on this one test. i think people on the outside make more of it than the league does. if some teams/gms make it a big deal, their loss.

and i don't think it drops him at all. a team won't decide whether or not to take austin or patterson based on that silly thing. if they had any concerns whatsoever and any real interest in him, they would have brought him in for a visit, like we did...but deciding to take him at any spot? nah. unless they were nitpicking in the way they might in considering his vert or wingspan or something it's just not something that they are going to knock a guy on.

Just the other day Steve Smith referenced his own draft process in which the Giants gave him a test to take. After about 20 questions he stood up gave the test back to them and walked out. Im not too concerned with a football players ability to take test.
