Chechnya has had problems with Islamist militants since the conflict with the Russians broke out shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union. Sometimes I wonder if it was really a good thing that the Soviet Union fell. At least they were somewhat predictable.

There was an ending planned with these two as they were armed with rifles, grenades and other bombs. What did them over was the lack of proper funding. Having to resort to robbing 7/11 is very telling how amateurish/lack of support received.
