I was (cough, cough procrastinating) and thinking... Why is it that BOA has the NFL shield instead of the Panthers logo? If I remember correctly, us and MetLife are the only stadiums that have the NFL logo at the 50, but MLS shares a team so they can't put a team logo.

Richardson did it as a tribute to the NFL for giving us a franchise, and letting him play as well.

one guy even drew up a petition that got a little bit of local media attention and he was kind of embarrassingly enthusiastic about it

aforementioned guy was also kind of a punching bag on this board and un-ironically talking about a midfield logo will get you made fun of now
