That's called recruiting, every coach makes false claims, not one coach is 100% truthful; things change.

I was recruited out of high school for soccer, promised a scholarship and it never happened. Sh*t happens, but don't walk around pretending Spurrier and SC are all high and mighty.

They recruit good prospects yes. Where they screw up is they don't develop them as well as they could and recruit based on talent alone and that is why you notice less and less bad in columbia and you see more and more in clemson now. Lou holtz had that same problem. They should focus on character with talent and I think they would be overall better and I wouldn't have nearly enough negative to give them.

My bias has nothing to do with them doing what they do. Sammy potkins is a low character kid with talent. Ellington is solid for what he is. Boyd is a solid QB with low character and a big mouth. And Hopkins is pretty good.

Now that we know they have the tools to run the spread why don't you tell me why they can't play defense with at least 2 of the #1-5 lb recruits in the last 4 cycles.

if you take a crap all over the bathroom of the hotel you're staying at, waiting to be interviewed for the biggest job of your life, of which is a highly publicized position, you clean it up.

I will say this.. You are the only one in this thread that believes Dabo Swinney isn't an idiot who has no business coaching. The man should be selling cars he'd be more useful to people that way.

#74.. They recruit heavily ranked defensive players all the time. Sc recruits 4 and 3 stars with high character that were leaders on the team they came from and with superior coaching they become a unit. Dabo is taking a bunch all stars and just hoping for a miracle.
