this. i don't think schedule-makers will be able to resist cam newton versus colin kaepernik any more than they could resist giving us MNF versus vick. hopefully this time it'll be a little more relevant

i think they can.

he's not the shiny new toy. losing schedule and influx of good QBs on teams without bad coaching and bad teams built by bad GMs makes cam essentially irrelevant.

they just won't care this year. the focus is on rg3, luck, wilson, and kaepernick. cam is an afterthought until we can actually win games.

Agreed 100%. Outside of Carolina, Cam isn't must see television. The schedule makers will favor more towards Griffin, Luck, Wilson, and Kaepernick before they do Cam. Not to mention, those four teams went to the playoffs last year, while the Cam led panthers started 2-8.

We'll get a Thursday Nighter (league mandated) and possibly a Monday night game (on the road).

I don't see any way we get a Sunday Nighter. Those are reserved for the big boys (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Denver, Washington, Dallas, New York, Philly, New England, Green Bay, San Fran, Chicago)........with the occasional bone thrown to one of the NFC West teams, the falcons, the saints, or Houston.

I'd say the panthers have as likely a shot to end up on Sunday Night Football as the following teams do: Arizona, St. Louis, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Miami, Tampa Bay, Oakland, Cleveland, and Tennessee).

I have to disagree. I'm not saying we are going to or deserve to get serious primetime games but this logic is rather flawed. We may have had losing records the last two years but we're on the cusp and the NFL knows this.

Kaepernick/Luck/Griffin/Wilson are entering their sophomore years. People think those guys can practically walk on water now after one season as a rookie, but the hype can change very quickly as we know all too well here. Time will tell.

gonna try and go to the pats game. hopefully it's early in the season.

Better buy your tickets early. Like Denver, NYG, and Dallas last year, BofA will be 60-65% Pats fans that game and the tix will go fast.

i'm not very experienced buying tickets, any tips on seats or places to buy them?

i don't think they know anything. we haven't proved anything. they may think that we are on the cusp of having a winning season, but greatness? nah....we've been there before and done nothing but disappoint. i think they've learned their lesson about us. until we actually win...there's nothing to see here.

it's a fickle industry and there's enough going on for the league to not pay attention to this team, with or without cam. attention and prime time games will only come when we actually prove something. until we do the only hope we have for primetime games is riding on some other teams coattails.

Not really. I have season tix so I'm not too familiar. I'd check Panthers.com the day they go on sale.
