Anyone familiar with baseball cards and value?

Not worth much. Individual cards are worth more than 'sets'. I'd guess maybe 500$ altogether.

When I was a kid in the early 90s I collected football cards and baseball cards. I had M. Jordans baseball rookies and basketball rookies. I had ken griffy jr. rookies, tons of nolan ryan rookies I lived in Dallas. My football collection was awesome, I had OJ simpson cards worth a ton, Jerry Rice rookies worht a ton, Dion Sanders rookies, my most valuable a joe montana rookie worth about 500$ last I checked a few years ago and a rare Cheifs joe montana worth a 100. So much more...

I collected them all for about 50 bucks over a period of time. I sold them for $35.00 on eBay as an ignorant 15 year old (though they weren't worth all that much at the time), god so fuging stupid. Such an idiot...

I knwo more about football cards than baseball but if you're lucky you'll get aroun 1k, more like 500 if you have the right players rookies in the 70s.

A couple years ago they would have been worth a lot more. When the economy tanks so do the values of baseball cards. In the 90's their value was pry at their peak.

If they are a gift I would take them and properly store them and then look at them in another 20-30 years.

I've got a Miguel Cabrera rookie card and a ball that I had him sign as a rookie in Miami. He signed while he was about 6 weeks into his rookie season and still wearing #20. They are both locked away for my boys. He will be an HOFer so the ball and card should bring a decent price with his original #20 signature.
