Explosions at finish line of Boston Marathon

NPR had word from a doctor that there were injuries from *three* blasts, with more ambulances arriving *after* the first two and from a separate explosion. Directly contradicts what we've heard so far, and it's very possible the doctor they talked to was simply incorrect.

i haven't heard this corroborated from any other source. is it possible he heard the third controlled EOD detonation in front of the library and made an inference?

He specifically said they were treating injuries from the first two explosions, then talked a bit about how his doctors were trained by Israeli trauma surgeons, then said that they had ambulances arriving from a third site. He very well could have been wrong, or it could be that the controlled detonation actually had injuries.

this just has a whole amatuerish feel to it like a crazy person who looked up how to make a bomb on the internet and found the first big event he could to kill people.
