Willie Amendola, father of Patriots receiver Danny, has filed a lawsuit in Dallas County court. It names as defendant Cowboys Stadium, which is operated by Jerry Jones, and seeks at least $1 million for injuries and "great personal anguish and embarrassment" caused when Amendola was run over by a sentient golf cart in 2011.

Amendola is the head coach at Dekaney High, and had just won the state championship at Cowboys Stadium. Meeting with reporters at midfield, Amendola had no idea that motorized death was lurking. Stadium workers accidentally wedged a pylon in the accelerator, and it took off, mowing down everyone in its way, until one hero boarded the beast and stopped its rampage.

You can see Amendola in the gif above, in a light blue shirt. He's the one who winds up on the hood of the cart before bailing out.

If he was right there up front why did he just lazily roll out instead of trying to stop it from mowing someone else down?

I call foul on his lawsuit.
