Should we draft 2 DT?

Trading our 1 will net much more than a 2 and a 3, even if it was with the Jags who own #33. It'd get us more like next year's 1, this year's 2 and 3.

And we don't have any 7ths.

But switch out Short for Hankins (if God willing he were to fall, in that scenario,) or S. Williams and switch out Mathieu for Rambo or just about anyone else projected in that round and I'd be happy with that draft :)

I really don't think CB is an issue at all. We're just a bit small but IMO we're better there than last season. A lot of people are going to be surprise by how good our secondary will be if we can add a Safety. I love the group of guys we have: Norman, Florence, Thomas, DJ, Captain, and Dockery.

We are in a passing league and we have a backfield full of one year rentals. Not an ideal situation by any means. The only hope for our secondary at the moment is our pass rush stays the same because coverage will be average.

Don't you think you're jumping the gun with the pro bowl mentions? We have one pro bowl lb and.he.was injured.

As of now we have no pro bowl personnel in that line.

Pro bowl is a hack show anyway so I use the term loosely. You can replace pro bowl with all pro if you like. Nether the less we have good taken in the front 7.

Who in the world (unless they are on heavy mind altering drugs) is going to give us all that for the #14th overall pick in this draft? I'm definitely for optimism and all that jazz but this place is bordering on pure lunacy.

The problem is that they were 3rd round DTs. One of whom was a reach in the third. We need an actual investment made into the position. Preferably in the 1st, but the DT class is so deep this year we might be able to get by with just using a 2nd.

fua and mcclain came from a deep DT class. when a draft is deep in a certain position, it only means there's more trash to sift thru.

There were only 2 for sure starters in that class (Darus ,Fairly ). Phil Taylor was a late 1st rounder. And Fua wasn't considered a 3rd round pick we reached on him because of our horrible DT situation. This class is way better then the 2011 class for DT's.

In honesty CB is our biggest position of need. We have two pro bowl DEs on our line and 3 pro bowl LBs behind them. Even if we have avg DT play we will be ok on the front 7. Our secondary is in shambles right now and could use some talent. When was the last time we picked CB high again?

Apparently the NFC Pro-Bowl Defense next year will be comprised primarily of Panther players. I must have either missed something, or you have completely jumped the gun on your pre-season team evaluation.

Please discuss the Charlotte Bobcats All-stars for next year when you have an opportunity.

Just because there's more people at a position doesnt mean jack. . . the odds for success are still the same for every DT taken. He might be good, he might be bad. Does it get more likely to flip a coin on heads after tails has dropped 9 times?

I've been really high on SS Jonathan Cyprian at #14 and then picking whatever NT is there at #44.

Jenkins, Hankins, Brandon or Jessie Williams. With so much equal talent I'd be surprised if one of them doesn't fall.

I've never been a fan of drafting multiple players of the same position unless we're given no choice, a BPA falls to us, or you're like SF and have a million picks.

Best to bring in vet FAs to help the youngsters who are drafted.
