Kiper's latest; Richardson 1st, Swearinger 2nd

Hell no to Richardson in the 1st. He will get blown up in the run game.

If we go S in the 2nd it needs to Reid, Elam, or Rambo. I like Rambo the best but have some concerns about the drug use.

A Over exaggeration on Richardson not backed by fact. And I really don't feel like pulling up his scouting report again. So keep making exaggerated judgements off of a few time he got moved. Which most of those were against very good players that will be drafted high.

He isnt gonna be facing average ncaa G's at the next level. He will be playing men / studs every week, the best of the best.

But Dash you like Short and he got pushed around by lesser talent. At least when Richardson lost a battle he lost to a Player like Warfield and Warmack and Barret Jones.

Short

Versus the Run 2

Quick enough to shoot gaps and make plays in the backfield. Big and strong enough to hold ground against double teams when teams run right at him but can give ground when he plays too high. Flashes the ability to stack and shed in time to make plays at the line of scrimmage but as is the case with most areas of his game, we'd like to see more consistency. Gets into trouble when he doesn't win with quickness against zone runs. It leads to his pads rising and OL quickly getting him on skates and taking him for a ride.

Richardson

Versus the Run 2 At his best working up the field or when slanting. Plays with good leverage. Can win with quick first step and by staying low initially. Pads do tend to rise after initial contact. He does flash ability to anchor but it's not his strength. He will get pushed around at times by double team. Also allows OL to ride him wide too often. Needs to become more disciplined gap responsibility. Very good range for a DT. He has closing burst to the ball carrier and can be an explosive hitter. Jars ball carriers frequently and occasionally separates ball from body.

Same score dude.

Would LOVE it if we were lucky enough to land Swearinger. I'll take JungleBoi over Rambo all day long. Rambo is a good safety and all but Swearinger's got to be the most underrated safety in this draft. The guy's an absolute baller and will anchor some fortunate team's secondary for years to come. Oh and I don't give a sh*t about his 40 time (4.68 at combine, 4.53 at Pro Day). The guy is plenty fast on the field when it matters... BELIEVE THAT!
