I would gladly pay a small fee to stream ESPN and NFLN. I just won't sign up for the poor service and pricing schemes of cable/dish/uverse. The roku box doesn't fit my lifestyle but it would be nice when the nieces come over to stream cartoons.

Why not just build a cheap media PC and use XBMC/sickbeard/couchpotato to automatic show/movie downloading. It's way more powerful. I always see the Roku for people that don't know how to use usenet or setup stuff, but since you have the know-how, I'd totally recommend a sickbeard setup.

Looking at the channel selection on Roku's website, kids channels seem lacking. I know Netfix and Hulu have some kids stuff, but are there more options than just Disney and the other generic four or five other channels I saw? Just curious since I have a 5 and 10 year old.
