Favorite Moments in Draft History

With the 9th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select.. Ted Ginn, WR, Ohio State.

That was amazing. And that press conference Cam Cameron had to give the Dolphins fans "We not only got Ted Ginn, we got his whole family". Although, in fairness to Cameron, they wanted Brady Quinn who also sucked.

Two Favorite Moments

1.) I loved that we picked up DeAngelo Williams and not Lendale White or Laurence Maroney. Loved D-Will in college.

2.) When we drafted Armanti Edwards...I think that was the 1st time the Huddle was in unison on claiming it was a dumb/bust pick

-When the Panthers drafted DeAngelo Williams. I loved him in college and really wanted him but I thought the Patriots would take him. Patriots took Maroney and we got D.Will. I was so happy.

-When I was the only one to correctly predict Aaron Rodgers dropping and going to the Packers.

1: Collectively, every time the Jets have made a bad pick and the fans at the Hall let them know about it.

2: McNabb. That near riot will always be one of the most awesomely funny things I've ever seen.

3: To be fair, I was incensed myself when we picked Newton--not that I wanted Clausen either, but I thought Newton would take too long to develop. And then the Cardinals opener happened, and holy god...

4: Hated the Otah pick then, hated the Stewart pick both for value and logistical reasons. I'd've much preferred Oher and then Forte in the second.

5: Jarrett. Ugh.

6: I didn't know who Beason was, but I was okay with the logistics of it.

7: I was happy with the Deangelo pick because I like smaller, speedier guys: to me, they're more fun to watch.

8: Watching Eli hold up the Chargers uniform was also pretty amusing. Part of me still wishes he'd've had to stick there, just to really stick it to the guy.

I think Oher was in the next year's draft.

Oh, and the Mike Tice Vikings missing back to back picks was magical.

our inagural draft. just the idea that we were getting a team was exciting. i didn't really care who it was that we drafted, tbh. i was just excited that we were. that was a great feeling.

beyond that, i've kind of got a short memory. i remember wanting MJD more than DWill.

wathcing clausen fall was a great memory...i kept laughing and wondering what team was going to be dumb enough to pull the trigger. never in a million years would i have guessed us. now that memory just lives in infamy.

drafting cam was probably the highlight of the last decade. i honestly can't remember being so excited about a draft pick.

if i got to pick 2 favorites, it would be the first one and the cam one.

Even more depressing. Oher was in the 2009 draft, which means we could've had him over Everette ****ing Brown. Hurney? Wherever you are? I hate you.

yeah, that stupid overraction to replace peppers cost us oher, or i think the 9ers got the really good guard, name escapes me at the moment, with our pick. that man lost damn near every trade he ever did.
