Of course, there's lots of others I like in the 2nd too. Hunter, Hopkins, Rambo, Elam, Patton to name a few.

If we took Jonathan Cooper or Lane Johnson in the first, I wouldn't cry about it. I'd almost want to do it if we could trade down and get a 3rd or maybe even an early 4th.

With the guys we picked up in FA already I dont think Id have a problem using both rounds 1 and 2 for o lineman - I dont think that is likely but otoh wouldnt be shocked - nope it wouldnt be a sexy or exciting choice, but Newton was scrambling for his life too many times last season. If he goes down and were left with Anderson who is less mobile with last years o line we might be looking at finishing the season with Jimmy. Put me down for 2 o lineman in this years draft.

You are spot on with Fluker. All of the people mentioning him in the second round are WAY behind on their player evaluations. He is said to be firmly entrenched in the first round.

I have also read reports that teams right around #10 are VERY high on him.....especially Miami.

Not sure where he will go, but it will be long before we draft at 44

Where are you hearing this? Because I'm definitely not behind in my draft evaluations and that isn't the case at all.

I'd go after one in FA, with the current draft status, we might get a quality OL real cheap. Then add in Chris Faulk with a later round pick, and we should be ok.

NFP is a relatively well respected draft resource. They have him going #21.

In my opinion Fluker is the #4 OT in the draft, behind the obvious top 3. Would be #3 ahead of Johnson if not for LT being more valuable than RT pushing Johnson ahead.

pretty much everywhere you go he's been climbing up rankings and into the first round. i just saw that kiper has him going #12 overall. mcshay has him goingg to the giants in the first, dan kadar ranked him as the 20th overall and 4th best OT.

basically his workouts and interviews (which he's been very active and in demand) have been impressing a lot. it's likely that he gets taken before warmack (which should be the case anyway).

I have a question instead:

Both Floyd and Rickardson is quite small (for DTs at 6'3/6'2 and sub 300). I read all about how they "tear it up" in collage and I am sure they will be excelent 3rd down inside rushers. But can they really handle holding thier ground in the middle on running plays (I know they are not at the nose but still)?

I just feel the focus is on the, sexy, ability to rush the passer and people (or at least reporters) tend to forget that you fist need to be able to handle 2 300+ nlf-linemen on first down.

Am I totally off here?

On topic: T, G, WR, S, CB or DT is fine by me, just get the best player (as someone should fall).

What I do not wont is a trade up, we need starters on rookie contracts when it is time to pay up for Cam.
