Lucky you don't have those rubber band-size tires with a set of fancy rims- they would have afforded no protection and likely demolished your entire suspension.

Reminds me of a few months ago, was on 485 and a plumbing work truck was in front of me and a giant sink (one of those restaurant type full on metal ones) flew out of the back and almost hit me. I thought it did, but it was just the sound of it hitting the road that I heard. Sink went to the median but the truck driver just kept going. I pulled up beside him and was like "WTF?" and he just shrugged lol. I should have called the company and reported their driver but meh. And LOL @ Thor's Hammer :)

Same thing happened to my wife about 10 yo on I-77. Except that it was one if those big ass wheel barrows that fell off a contractor's truck.

She ended up hitting the concrete barrier and doing a 180 in the middle of the road. Came with 12 inches of getting wiped out by an 18 wheeler.
