Anybody fans of the old Evil dead series? I saw the remake last night and thought it was a really good remake of the original. It has some different twists to it so the story is not exactly the same as the original, but very similar. Lots of gore, has a good 80's horror flick kinda feel to it. Definitely worth seeing.

Yea there is a thread about it that got buried.

I'm looking forward to where they take the series from here. It'll be interesting to what Alvarez does for the sequel. If they really plan on having Ash come into this storyline, they will have to do more than just "remake" Evil Dead 2.

Speaking of which, I am going to a midnight showing of Evil Dead 2 at the River Run International Film Festival this Friday in Winston-Salem. I'm so pumped...I've always wanted to see Evil Dead 2 in a crowded late-night theater.

from what it sounds, they are going to remake army of darkness 2 and have ash be part of that story line. They are going to do a new evil dead 2 to continue the story of the new deadite killing hero that was revealed in the latest movie. Then ultimately have ash and the new one team up for an Evil Dead 7.
