Beason: Looking to be better

I had a massive response written before my damn window collapsed so I'll just say this:

Laron deserved to go despite your senile protest against it. He hit statistical career highs this year and been one of the league's top safeties for years (but has been injury prone). Just because the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest doesn't mean players like Manning, C. Johnson, Ware, Peterson and Matthews don't deserve to go either.

How about Terrell Suggs, Dan Marino, Curtis Martin, and Dominique Wilkens? You want me to include NBA, MLB, Premier League, MMA/Boxing, etc studs too?

What's interesting about this injury is that it's unpredictable to forecast. Dr. Andrews has repeatedly said that the injury varies from athlete to athlete. One might be able to recover in 10 months while another might take up to two years before fully recovering. Then there's that portion of athletes who never compete again. Beason, however, returned to the gridiron and struggled but you also failed to take into account his shoulder injury which could've played a major factor into being hesitant to tackle larger RBs and WRs.

So, please, refute from playing sports psychic and wait for the actual results to come in.

Again state the facts without the middle school commentary. So if a safety gets lots of tackles does it means he is great or does it mean that your linebackers and defensive line are porous or that you are playing your safeties close to the line. You obviously think the first while others may evaluate the statistics in context. But lets go on.

Since the rest of your post is convoluted here is an article which mirrors my opinion of the pro-bowl and was stated better than I could say it.

Dr. Andrews is like any doctor, they rarely make any kind of definitive statements for fear of lawsuits. So you always get doctor double speak. Some people heal faster than others, it all depends, it is really hard to say......

Did you read the scientific study on recovery rates on NFL athletes with achilles injuries I posted?? Or did you just ignore all that since it didn't fit your point of view?? By the way, Beason is proof the article is correct and he is following the exact pattern it predicted.

Ever consider he might have injured his shoulder reaching for guys because he couldn't get there fast enough because of his achilles injury?? Or that he had trouble wrapping them up prior to the shoulder injury because he had lost the explosive drive to move them backwards and tried to hit them with his shoulder which contributed to the injury. That his knee injury is likely also related to having to move differently which changed his mechanics? I have had many times in sports where one injury like to a foot caused to me to walk diifferently which caused a problem for other areas like my knee and hip, for example. Isn't it curious he didn't have any injuries like all that before the Achilles but did after?? Coincidence or connected?? I don't believe in coincidences myself.

And the word is refrain not refute.

Oh yes it does. Davis recuperating after three ACL tears is a big deal. Therefore, simulating how a player performs this upcoming season goes out the window.

It is a big deal....but he is still an injury plagued LB who we can't realistically be depended on to be on the field a full season this year as a starter.

It could happen...but odds aren't good for someone like Davis at this point despite the miracle season last year.
