Jamarcus Russell comeback vid has me rooting for him. NFL teams showing interest.

I don't understand the hate for Oakland.

Anybody talking down Oakland in defense of a player has their head in the sand.

Russell did fail himself.

That being said, i don't dislike the guy. No reason to. His work ethic better be the best, or he'll fail again.

Either way, i don't care.

I don't see him ever being a franchise qb.

Clausen isn't really a backup. He was inactive for most of the season and if Cam went down we would have likely signed another QB. He is simply so cheap that we haven't bothered to cut him.

Derek Anderson is a backup and a great one. Jamarcus doesn't sniff Anderson's jock

There are a couple situations were you'd see a team take a chance on him.

Either a team with a good veteran QB who could mentor him (sign him as the 3rd QB for the league minimum and see if you have a diamond in the rough)

or

A train wreck of a team like the Jets sign him for the publicity.

I find myself rooting for him to make a comeback as well. Are they still televising his comeback training? I caught like the 1st two, and he looked horribly inaccurate with a ton of his throws. Also, I would like to see him get down in the 245-255 range weight wise. He looked big as a house and awkward when I saw him the 1st few episodes.

Yo this guy seems to be going to work at the gym. Going in the right direction.

There are a few teams that need a solid back up right now. I thought the Jags would be a good fit a while ago. maybe.

And to be honest, he would make a decent back up to Cam. He doesnt have the mobility, but he has the size and arm just like Cam.

I never hear of him being an issue amoung teammates or anything like that, and you know he isn't going to get paid much. I wouldn't mind it at all if we brought him in to hold a clip board. He is better than Jimmy even if he has been out of football forever.

I should say that I wouldn't mind bringing him in AFTER another team takes a look at him first. lol
