Yes you will get flamed. I don't want him anywhere near our team. Hopefully someone in our division doesn't sign him either. I'm not rooting against the guy, but he's failed before and I'd rather him get a second chance with someone else.

I would be all for the Panthers signing him and bringing him into camp.

If he doesn't perform, you cut him, he'll obviously be signing for the minimum anywhere he goes as it is.

If he does perform, we get him in a few preseason games, if he plays well and shows some potential he could be a nice piece of trade bait.

Best case scenario we get a decent backup who might be able to be traded for a mid round pick in a year or two

Worse case scenario we cut him in camp and no harm done

He basically took the money and ran in his first go around in the NFL, then he hired a trainer to help him get back in shape both physically and mentally, and he pissed that guy off so much that the trainer quit.

If he truly does turn it around, more power to him. Color me extremely skeptical.

Honestly, I really think it's more about the team that drafts than your actual talent level in a lot of cases. If Jamarcus would have been drafted into a situation like say Colin Kaepernick did chances are no one would be calling Russell a bust. I really can't think of a worst team to be drafted to besides maybe the Browns.

Him and Cam are not on the best of terms, considering Cam used JaMarcus as an example of what gives him motivation to be great.
