I always feel sorry for movie critics. At first glance it seems like an awesome job but then you realize that they never really do anything with their life besides watch movies, and a lot of shitty ones at that.

one of the things that always stuck with me in their reviews is how a good movie could have been great if the director dug more into a character or two. that was something that i remembered even in high school watching the shows. you could see how both were frustrated and i always told myself if i wrote, i would make sure not to overlook the nuances and quirks of characters.

^keep in mind you don't want to lose focus and give too much screentime/script time to a character that doesn't move the story along or contribute anything besides being quirky
