espn actually has hixon ranked lower than murphy.......it is espn, though. just sayin

I think Hixon will be better than Murphy but it is comical in a sick way how we keep trying to get our number 2 and 3 receiver either on the cheap or through a late a draft pick. How many guys have we drafted or picked up in FA for this one position? I bet if you count the money we spent we could have gotten a good one without this trial by error BS.We pick wr prospects like I can pick out wallpaper..not worth a crap

1. There's no way that we could have signed a big name WR this year with the cap issues we had.

2. #3 receivers don't usually get drafted in the top rounds nor usually get/should get paid big bucks.

3. I think that with the amount of top-ranked receivers we have brought in for pre-draft workouts/visits, along with the giants history of drafting WR's often and early, should be a clear indication that we won't be complaining about our lack of WR depth for much longer.

Those complaints would be legitimate if Hurnia were still here but lets see how the roster shapes up after the draft with Gettleman on board now.

Which is exactly why nobody here takes any of your arm chair scouting seriously.

I don't have a problem admitting I was wrong. Actually I'm very happy I was. But I don't remember you being on the Luke bandwagon last year either.

And he didn't win the DROY but Cox had a very good season for Philly.

Put his 39 tackles 5.5 sacks up against all the DT's on this team. Only Edwards had a better season and he was playing in his 8th year not his rookie season.

So I was right about Cox being a baller and he would have been a great pick for us. Luke was just a better pick for us. Which I was wrong about.

I was definitely on the wagon. Yeah problem is last I checked Cox can't play middle line backer, and with the Beason situation Luke is and was the absolute best pick for us. I recall quite a few fans ready to riot when we picked Kuechly. It all worked out well and that scenario is an example of why I always take the weeks discussions leading up to the draft on these boards with a grain of salt.

Like I said I don't remember you on the Luke bandwagon but if you were good for you.

The way the situation played out made Luke the better pick. Nobody can deny that.

I've admitted in another thread that I trusted Beason and that video he put out.

So my problem wasn't with Luke it was my faith in Beason. I can't lie he's my favorite Panther and I have 2 of his jerseys.

Doesn't change the fact that Cox 's is a beast and would have been a great fit here.
