He still mad...

RT @TheFenderLaws: Thoughts on Domenik Hixon going to Carolina? ... One of the most meaningless transactions of the offseason.

Hixon is going into his 6th season and has played with a great QB....the talk of him now finally breaking out is a bit much

King is right. Odds are this isn't the type move that makes you better

It is because he is better than all but two of our wide receivers. Adding better talent makes you better. How is this hard to understand?

He had 1400 yards in 5 years....

Define better? Maybe some old Louis Murphy threads should be bumped....or Legatron threads when they were signed

I am getting a little worried that we are starting to lean OL at 14.

Smith

LaFell

Hixon

Gettis

Ginn

Pilares

Adams

Edwards

Bryant

Shaw

Doesn't leave a lot of indication that WR would be high on the list of priorities.

Could also be a smokescreen, though.

Two of which he was injured. By better, you have to watch the tape. His athleticism and ability to catch "tough" passes, seperate him from everyone but Smith and Lafell. We have a weird mix of receivers. Hixon makes us a better unit overall, believe it or not.

These are the types of guys we are going to sign due to Hurney fuging us over. Gettleman is getting the best players that he can possibly get all within his restrictions. People bitching over this move know very little about football.

Are you classifying people as bitching....when they simply are telling people who are acting like a 6 yr player is finally going to breakout now that he is away from a future HOF QB...to come back to reality??

He is a body. I haven't heard anyone bitch about it.

The funny thing about this off-season isn't that "Gettlemania" is amazing, it's that this is what GMs are SUPPOSED to do, lol. We've just never seen it before. Look for this type of off-season from here on out as long as he's here.

I suprisingly agree 100%. Pie

Why be a dick? Why not let people be happy? We finally have a GM that knows what the hell he's doing, after a decade of stupid, and you can't let people be happy? What kind of self-righteous asshole are you?

Re Gettis:

I don't get it...

He has not gotten an opportunity under Rivera because he plays favorites and Gettis clearly isn't one of them.

I wonder if that was Rivera or Chud. Also, they might have not felt confident in his recovery.

I too like Gettis. This year will tell. One of the great things G'man has set up is a lot of competition. Except for Smitty...no one is set. Whoever is on the roster will have to earn it, and hopefully know they have to earn it every year....even every game.

Injury prone players who never produce....tend to remain that way. Never made us better in the past...

I'm fine with the move. A body. A hope for things to somehow be different...but that's about it.

Pretty sure I have no impact on if you are happy with a move or not.

I was simply pointing out....it isn't bitching to claim he most likely isn't going to breakout and be something he has never been before now that e finally is here a half decade into his career. We need new bodies and he was cheap, I am fine with the move.

Bottom line is if Armanti Edwards had been playing for another team and Gettlemen just signed him to a 1 yr deal....people would praise the move and applaud Gettlemen for "getting it" and being awesome. Just a tad over the top.
