Kiper on Panthers draft

We aren't talking about walterfootball.com

Were talking about credible analysts that have been built up as reputable sources for the scouting of players.

So, that's why they work in an NFL scouting department, right? Oh, wait... what?

Like I said, they get fed a ton of intentional misinformation.

If you're really going to sit here and try to form a defense out of that I'm just going to laugh because even you know it's crap.

There are plenty of analysts out there capable of scouting players without having to go run to some NFL team for a second opinion. To suggest that they somehow lack credibility because they don't wear a polo with an NFL teams logo on it suggests that you either:

A) Severely overvalue the ability and the role of scouts within an organization.

B ) Don't actually believe that about the aforementioned analysts but felt it a believable enough stance to take at this juncture in the discussion

Misinformation has nothing to do with the player's skill set, that's to do with the draft process itself and teams using misinformation to make players drop.

I found it funny that people were commenting on Patterson's route running while watching the draft video's for the WR groups on NFL network. Which he was noted and it's mentioned in the video that he ran two of the better routes during the drills.

Video - Nice route...One of the best

Here - Wow, his routes were horrible and raw. You can tell he's raw from just that video.... lol

When will people learn that the draftniks are all about entertainment and ratings, not "scouting". How many times will we see their "best available boards" with players on them that according to them should've been drafted 50 picks ago? Hell, I remember when Kendrick Burney spent about 3 and a half rounds as Kiper's best available. He went undrafted. These guys do more harm than good. Kids and their families think these guys know what they're doing and use them to help formulate their decisions on whether or not to go. They absolutely shouldn't. The talking heads are for entertainment purposes only.

Routes in games >>>>> routes ran in shorts and t-shirt in drills

Not draftnik's actual scouts, that used to work for NFL teams or have scouting backgrounds for college football. Different type of guys, one's for entertainment while the other is/was paid to actually scout for teams.

Why are you grouping credible draft analysts in with Mel kiper?

You can play this game all day if you like. Downplay the validity of expert opinion as long as you wish. In the end, your take on a player is nothing compared to respected talented evaluators. It's honesty become an amusement to sit here and watch you try and search for an outlet each and every time as to why respected guys are for some reason disagreeing with your wonderful opinion.

"mike mayock only thinks Patterson is good because he wants ratings! Thats all! In his heart he agrees with me!!!"

Brandon LaFell last year in the NFL:

44 catches for 677 yards and 4 TDs

Cordarrelle Patterson last year in college:

46 catches for 778 yards and 5 TDs

There were at least 14 receivers that werent numbers ones that put up better stats than Lafell last year. We would only have more to gain and little to lose drafting someone that at least has more talent than he does.

And without mentioning the situation or variables that should go along with your statement. This comment means nothing.
