The guy is fighting for his life. Battling cancer.

The two have nothing to do with each other. I hope he fully recovers and spends as much time as he wants with his daughters.

I still think he sucks as a sports reporter and I can't stand him on ESPN.

Just letting you know. Not saying you can't hate his sports reporting. He annoys the poo out of me as well. Just might not be seeing him as much is all.

I'm thinking about going HD Antenna and Roku Box really really soon.

I did it for two years in DC. I didn't really miss cable. I did get about 3x as many over the air stations up there though. Many international news stations and I pulled the local channels from DC and Baltimore, so they all had different stuff on at different times giving me plenty of stuff to watch.

ESPN3 and the bootleg streaming sites worked well enough if you don't care about HD quality.

Now I have DirecTv and wish I just had the antenna again.

With the kid I have sooo much less time for BS TV that I usually just watch it once or twice a week to play "catch-up" on the 4-8 shows I actually care about.

Just slightly worried about HD quality with the Antenna and setting it up.

HD quality OTA is actually better because nothing is compressed. The problem is getting the signal depending where you live.

A great site to put your address in to get an idea what is available OTA.

What of GOT? !!1!!1!!!!1!!!!! But yeah I hear ya, Sports programming and HBO/SHOtime are the only thing keeping me on Dish.

Read today that HBO is "thinking" about having HBO-GO as an online sub program.

This may actually be the model going forward that works. Once everyone has a fat broadband pipe going to their house. Consumers may actually be able to choose whatever they like ala carte.
