Would you let this man develop your quarterback?

I've always thought WCO quarterbacks in general were somewhat overrated because the system is very quarterback friendly (especially Reid's version of it).

Extending your logic, would you posit that McNabb is not a truly good quarterback? His second stint was under another guy with a "quarterback guru" rep (Shanahan).

And as a side note, there's an evil little part of my mind that would love to see what Reid could do if we traded him Jimmy Clausen.

(granted, a lot of Panther fans have parts of their brain that wish we'd trade Clausen anywhere)

McNabb checked out later in his career, although he never had glowing accolades in the work ethic department anyways. Reminds me of Favre in that respect.

The WCO is very quarterback friendly, but its still a very effective system if done right. The problem with a lot of modern WCO teams is that they only put together half the pieces needed to run it, usually forgetting that it requires sure-handed wideouts and a good running game to support it.

IMO 95% of all NFL QBs would qualify as system QBs and their success depends on a rare combination of coaching and surrounded talent which is unique to each QB.

That being said, any coach that has proven to be able to positively contribute to the success of multiple NFL QBs should be highly praised so yes, I would want him.
