ok I know he was not good in Arizona but they threw him to the wolves. He would definitely be an upgrade over clausen and could become a decent backup qb under the nice qb coaching staff here in carolina. Not to mention mentoring by Derek Anderson. Thoughts?

No. He's confirmed to be terrible. I'd rather take a chance on an undrafted FA or the like.

Thats why I just want to release him since there is obviously no trade value. I'd rather roll the dice with Cam and Derek because if those two go down we will be shot for the season anyway.

Skelton wouldn't change that.
