Nolan Nawrocki at it again.

I mean, this skinhead doesn't even try to hide his racism.

On the same damn page:

"Matt Barkley positives - Very intelligent with an engaging personality. Team tempo-setter. Can elevate a locker room, uplift an organization and represent a franchise with integrity. Very strong support structure. Is a pro’s pro and football is very important to him. Highly determined....Leadership traits, strength of character and football IQ will allow to operate at a high level in a play-action passing game with a clean pocket and a talented cast of receivers. Can become a very solid NFL starter and thrive with a strong supporting cast. A cross between Drew Brees and Colt McCoy.

Geno Smith negatives - Not a student of the game. Nonchalant field presence — does not command respect from teammates and cannot inspire. Mild practice demeanor — no urgency. Not committed or focused — marginal work ethic. Interviewed poorly at the Combine and did not show an understanding of concepts on the white board. Opted not to compete at the Senior Bowl and has approached offseason training as if he has already arrived and it shows in his body with minimal muscle definition or strength. Has small hands and glaring ball security issues (32 career fumbles). Really struggled handling the snow in Pinstripe Bowl (took two safeties) and will be troubled by the elements. Needed to be coddled in college — cannot handle hard coaching.... A cross between Akili Smith and Aaron Brooks, Smith is a gimmick, overhyped product of the system lacking the football savvy, work habits and focus to cement a starting job and could drain energy from a QB room. Will be overdrafted and struggle to produce against NFL defensive complexities."

Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) summed it up nicely: "If the only time you hear a draft analyst's name is once a year when he's blasting African American QBs...well...do the math."

Why not compare negatives to negatives, or positives to positives? Just looks like you are just trying to twist what was written to prove a point...

Geno Smith looked to have all the physical tools, not sure about the huddle stuff. How can these guys get their info for that type stuff? Talk with all the WV offensive players?

This guy need to learn just to say little when he does not have something good to say. People will gleen his lack of confidence from that. Mayock can "step on your toes, but still leave the shine on your shoes."

This guy could learn a thing or two from him.

Fair observation. Thing is, some of what I wrote was actually out of the "summary" part of his analysis. I should clarify that. The positive and negatives thing stands out because all of Barkley's negatives pretty much are physical issues, while physical traits make up Smith's positives.

The point is, and it was the same thing with Cam Newton, Nawrocki is destroying the kid's character and work ethic, despite what Geno Smith's own coaches have said.

Only problem is I think Geno does lack a lot of tools to make him an elite QB in the NFL.

I am not a fan of Nolan but Arron Brooks is a great comparison. A guy with great tools that was inconsistant at best. He will be overdrafted just like Barkley.

Nolan does sting one more than the other.

Actually a very fair writeup on Geno. Dont know abouth his pratice, film studying and combine interviews but the rest was right on. Geno isnt a great leader and had trouble with the weather and pressure. He would also stare down receivers.

This is one of those times I'd love to disagree with you, but when I take off my WVU homer hat, I also have to admit that a lot of the criticisms are sadly valid :(

I vaguely remember hearing stuff about the Combine interviews a while back. I also remember how hyped up I was prior to the Kansas State game. Boy did the hype take a nose dive from that game on. Analysts said he feasted on weak teams early on and looked average once he started facing better defenses. Sad to say there was a fair amount of evidence to support that evaluation.

I'm still hopeful that Geno will have a great pro career, but objectively speaking, when was the last time you watched a WVU quarterback transition successfully to the pros?

First Cam, then RG3, and now Geno. This guys is either a complete dumbass, striving to be the Skip Bayless of NFL scouting, a racist piece of poo or all of the above.

So what is it?

Know how I know you've never read the writeup on RG3?

Here's a link: http://www.profootballweekly.com/prospects/player/robert-griffin-iii-10/

Spinning that writeup as racist would be a major stretch.
