we could def make the playoffs next yr. i actually am expecting it (no injuries). our defense will be good. if the offense is at least average we have a really good team.

I'm not gonna lie, our secondary does concern me. However, they did hold down the fort pretty well last season, so hopefully they can do the same this year. We still need to add another DT.

With the talent we have on offense, it'd be a damn crime if our offense was just average. Hopefully Shula doesn't fall completely in love with the read option like Chud did early last season. Throw it in there a few times a game to give the D something else to think about, but it shouldn't be our base offense like Chud tried to make it. I loved that Gettleman pretty much came out and said exactly that when he took the job.

having a good pass rush does wonders for the secondary. so long as you dont have ppl that completely suck (naka) secondary should be able to hold down the fort with a good passrush and front 7.

we have talent on offense, the problem is shula is unproven and did a bad job (regardless of the circumstances) in his previous stint as an OC.

I wouldn't get all crazy about our Defense at the end of the season. We did face some bad offensive teams and the Saints did put up 38 points and 450 passing yards.

It all boils down to bringing our A game every week which is easier said than done. Cam has to come out of the gates on fire and the management has to protect him and give him more weapons.

On defense it will boil down to the pressure we bring to the qb. We are not going to have a good secondary regardless of the draft. We also need that NT to stop the run.

The secondary should concern you because we cannot fix it with our cap problems.

For those who don't know he's the director of NFL Films. He has more access and experience in breaking down film than most of the talking heads out there.

Really good takes on both WR and DT .One thing I took from this that people on the Huddle including myself need to understand is that he looks at film of every down and every play ...and many of us look at highlight reels which may show potential but is not indicative of the players body of work.I think he called out two great examples of that in Cpatterson Short as a DT.
