2013 Mock Draft, Marty Hurney edition

1st round - Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina - Stewart averaged 3.6YPC for the season and DeAngelo Williams only 3.4YPC prior to padding his stats against NO in week 17. While some might point to play calling or OLine play I think the obvious solution here is to spend a 1st round pick on running back. Plus we also have to keep the "never draft a bust in the 1st round" streak going and RB is the easiest position to do that.

2nd round - Robert Woods, WR, USC - Another receiver from USC in the 2nd round? Third times a charm, I mean one of these guys has to work out eventually, right?

Trade 2014 2nd rounder for a 3rd round pick - Brandon Grier, OLB, Appalachian State- I'm not worried about losing the pick next year, I probably won't still have a job by then anyway. And how can I pass up on a guy that's both a linebacker AND from App State. I think I might have to change my khakis. Some might say that he's too small to play LBer in the NFL. Whatever, just convert him to safety, problem solved.

4th round - Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina - Can't ever have enough running backs, especially local guys.

5th round - Nathan Williams, OLB, Ohio State - Can't ever have enough linebackers either.

6th round - Garth Heikkiken, OG, Minnesota-Duluth - A raw prospect that nobody's ever heard of from a small school? Sounds like the perfect guy to plug in as a day 1 starter.

6th round - Tress Way, P, Oklahoma - Some teams don't like to spend draft picks on punters. I say why spend a draft pick on any ole punter when you can spend it on the 6th best punter left on the board. Everyone loves an underdog story.

Now I just have to wait for other teams to cut down to 53 and I'll jump right into the free agent market.

Sigh....I know this is a joke, but Woods has nothing in common with Colbert or Jarrett other than where they attended college....

1st- Manti Teo, LB, Notre Dame

2nd- Denard Robinson, QB/WR, Michigan

3rd (via trade with SF for next year's second and this year's 5th-Marcus Lattimore, RB, USC

4th-traded to Cleveland for a brand new special teams ace.

5th-traded

6th- Do I really still have to pick more players? Sheesh. The roster looks set to me!

7th Oh come on, I've never even heard of all the players left on this left, I've had to spend the past few months debating between Teo and Jones, who has time for this??

This is preposterous, everyone knows this is how it would go.

1st round- Jarvis Jones LB/ Georgia

2nd round- Manti Teo LB/ Notre Dame

2nd round- (trade next years 1st) Marcus Lattimore RB/ South Carolina

3rd round- (trade next years 2nd) Denard Robinson WR/ Michigan

He'd have kept Anderson and we'd run a 2-6-3 defense with Jones, Davis, Beason, Teo, Kuechly and Anderson.
