What happened to the Warmack bandwagons?

If he is there at 14 we should consider it. He is once in a decade talent.

Decastro was that G last season and Pitt didn't make the playoffs..of course Decastro blew out his knee.

David Decastro's Chance Warmack breakdown

Recent draft history says Stanford guard David DeCastro will fall to the Bengals at the 17th overall pick.

cin.gifNo guard has been selected in the top 16 in the previous 14 drafts. Since 2001, the highest a guard has been selected was No. 17 and it's happened twice (Steve Hutchinson in 2001 and Mike Iupati in 2010).

But all of that could change this year. DeCastro is considered one of the best guard prospects in over a decade. He has been projected to go as early as No. 11 to the Kansas City Chiefs. But there is talk that the Chiefs might look to trade down and take nose tackle Dontari Poe.

DeCastro has also been linked to the Arizona Cardinals at No. 13, the Dallas Cowboys at No. 14 and the New York Jets at No. 16. Is there any team that's not interested in DeCastro in the middle of the first round?

It looks like the odds are against DeCastro dropping to the Bengals. Their fallback option at guard could be Georgia's Cordy Glenn.

Why are Guards not valued in the top 15 of the draft?

But when people can't understand why I continually insist that the Bills won't take Chance Warmack at No. 8 this year, I'll point to this argument (on top of the fact that guards don't win you anything in the NFL) in my rationalization: the position is not paid at a premium, and you're therefore not getting enough bang for your buck.

What's Cooper then? Since Cooper has passed Warmack for the most part because he's more athletic and better is pass protection. He also showed before he was asked to lose weight to fit UNC's spread offense that he could be a power guy as well.

He's fell a bit while Cooper from UNC has gained on him. If you have Warmack as a top ten player then pretty much so is Cooper. Will either of them go top 10??? I doubt it, but I think they both go in the first round and most likely both go top 20.

A bunch of mock drafts and scouts are actually moving Cooper above Warmack as well. Three of these have Cooper above Warmack and Cooper going in the 7-19 range. While Warmack is going in the 11-18 range.

Another reason I made the thread. I've noticed this a lot. I still think Warmack is a better pro in the end.
