Refresh of 2 month old thread with all current contracts post Deangelo restructure..Also added the dead money from Gross.

Players restructured
Greg Olsen-Shuffled money around and saved 2.4 million for this year's cap but added to later years
Ryan Kalil -Shuffled money around and saved 2.2 million for this year cap but added to later years
Jordan Gross- Saved 6.8 million for this year for this years cap and add's 3.6 in future dead money
Haruki Nakumara- Saved 500k for this year
Jonathan Stewart-minor move that raised cap figure $200k, unsure of why we did this.
Deangleo Williams- Saved 3.2 million per year over next 2 years and 3.9 in 2015. Getting same compensation in 2013 and basically signed a 3 year extension at 7.733 million to remain on team thru 2015 vs facing being cut next year.

total net savings for 2013 cap from ^^ = 14.9million

**Worth noting that it while clearing 14.9 million for this year the restrucutures pushed 16.5 million into prorated signing bonuses. (Kalil 5 million,  Gross 4.5 million,Williams 4 Million and 3 million for Olsen)

Players Cut
James Anderson(June 1st designation) saves 3 Million in cap space but moves 2.8 in dead money to 2014-later signed with the Bears.
Chris Gamble- Retired wealthy on his 30th B-day.- Saved 7.9 Million in cap space
Ron Edwards - Saved 2.5 million.

total savings for 2013 cap from ^^ = 13.4 million

combining the restructure savings and the outright cuts = 28.3 million in total savings for 2013 Cap including the 3 million from James Anderson that won't technically count until June 1st.

Dead money committed to 2014 cap from these moves = 7.4 millon

5.6 in 2014 for Gross and 2.8 in 2014 for Anderson.

2013 Signings and cap hits *all 1 years unless otherwise noted
Dwan Edwards $1.6 Million(2yr 3.6 million deal, with 1.4 signing bonus)

Domenik Hixon 1.2 million (750k base, 250k signing bonus and 200k workout bonus)
Captain $1.1 million (including $300k signing bonus and $50k workout bonus)
Tedd Ginn Jr. $1.1 million(including $300k signing bonus and $50k workout bonus)
Chase Blackburn $1 million(2 yr 2.05 million,including $200k signing bonus)

Mike Mitchell $725k(no signing bonus--makes him easier to cut if he does not show well early)
Drayton Florence $620k(base salary is $840k)
Ben Hartstock $620k--(base salary is $840k)
D.J Moore $555k--(base salary is $715k)
Derek Anderson $555k--(base salary is $840k)
Colin Cole $555k--(base salary is $840k)
Richie Brockel $555k--

Total cap space spent from above = 10.185

FREE AGENTS WE LET WALK

Gary Barnidge -Signed with Browns
Louis Murphy-Signed with Giants
Jason Phillips- Signed with Eagles
Sherrod Martin
Antwan Applewhite
Mike Pollack
Nate Ness
Andre Neblett

Other
Exercised option on Tolbert to remain with team thru 2015.

Current cap room per Yaskinskas 8.46 Milliion

(Cap room will also jump 3 million after June 1st once James Anderson cut hits the books).

Lastly the Rookie pool for our 13 Rookie class is expected to cost us around 4 million.

So after rookies are signed and Anderson cut becomes official were looking at roughly 7.5 Million in total space.

If you take the 28.3 million in room cleared by Gettlemans moves and subtract  the 10.185 cap hits spent on free agents and the current room of 8.64(10.185 +8.64)=18.825

you'll see we were only 9.475 over the cap to begin with contrary to other reports.

Again thats 28.3 million cleared - 10.185 spent +8.64 available = 9.475 what we started out over the cap before the league year started.

why we no resign applewhite?

There is still time but my guess is they feel with hardy, cj, alexander and keiser we have enough pass rushers. Thats 4 de we will only carry one more into the season so most likely they are saving the last spot for a rookie ala what we did with keiser and alexander the past two years.

So how much do you think the Blackburn + Dwan contracts will cost this year? Let's say they cost a bit more than 3 mil this year, we will only have 2 point something million left. Now I expect D'Will to take a pay cut unless he wants to be released (it's still a decent option). It's not like other teams will be willing to pay him that much either.

Since when was Martin a Free Agent?

Nonetheless, good poo.

Since March 12th. This board had me convinced he was not a free agent either when I made referenve to it a whole ago. However, several sources show he is a free agent. In addition panthers.com roster page is very up to date and he's nowhere on there.

http://espn.go.com/n...ition=36--rated a 62 to help you find him

"The good news for the Panthers is that the list of their own free agents includes only three starters – defensive tackle Dwan Edwards, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and safety Sherrod Martin, who ended last season on injured reserve with torn knee ligaments and is not expected to be re-signed.

Gettleman, who was unavailable for comment last week, said at his introductory press conference that he planned to evaluate the roster with an unbiased eye."

Then for final confirmation I went here http://www.panthers....roster.htmlHe is gone.

I hope Williams is traded. Somehow. Also get some compensation.

I think the only way to get rid of D-Will is to make him a June first cut. Trading or cutting him regular would be too big a hit. I guess he could rework his contract to facilitate a trade, but I don't know how realistic that is.
