Kuelchy was not a need..

LB was a need esp with the health of Davis.

On top of that, you cant even begin to compare Kuek's college numbers and Shorts. Completely diff class of players

With that said, I could live with Short in the 2nd. Would prefer Williams, Jenkins, Hunter, Hopkins, or Taylor though.

He is a solid UT

We definitely had bigger needs, but with Beason coming off an achilles injury, I would say that we had a need. Funny but out MLBs seem to enter as OLBs and quickly get moved inside as a result of injury.

I am concerned about all the DTs in the draft--when half bust, there is no certainty. Nick Fairley of Auburn supposedly is not doing well. Sedric Ellis, Glenn Dorsey, etc. I do not know why, but many bust.

I would just as soon bring in free agents or draft one later. They scare me.

*cough* well same for me since my previous DTs were McClain sigh.. and Jaye Howard, i still think Jaye is a good DT for the Seahawks, but he is not playing..

I cannot figure DT out and never will. Ha! at least we admit our shortcomings.

      Feels weird typing Utah FC. Could be a trap game but I see the canes winning big and continue to score 4 plus goals. This game could be similar to the Bruins or Pens games. Boys won big against the Knights and ended their home undefeated streak.    Get the win for 4 out of 6 points on the 3 game road trip. LFG CANES!

      You are confusing smart strategic moves with tanking. Sending one or two high priced players away for draft picks isn't tanking. Tanking is trading or cutting all or most of your best players in the hope that your will have several great drafts and in a few years have a team of young great players.   Its what the Dolphins did in 2019, and they still suck.   Historically bad Dolphins and the trouble with tanking - Sports Illustrated

      I was really impressed by Wonnum's get off.  As others have said, he looks like he was shot out of a cannon with his first couple steps.  That's great!  I know that he's had a hard go the last several months.  To be out there must have been a dream come true.  He still has it. I hope he can stay that hungry and excited.   As far as the defense, they have made enough plays the last two weeks to win.  They aren't a shutdown defense, but they are not the entire reason we've got a poor record.  Look, I want to be as hopeful as anyone here.  I'm not a huge fan of living in a perpetual cloud of misery.  I did that too long.  But the Giants are just a bad of a team as us and it took to OT...  Let's be realistic.  We still need a lot of help. Are there some good pieces we can work with?  Yes!  We're still letting anyone run wild on us.  You've got to stop the run in the NFL and force teams into 3rd and long.  We're not that kind of defense right now. I'm going to continue to watch the Panthers.  Looking for the week to week improvements.  Sometimes it will crash and burn.  That's the way it goes!
