Defense and PLAYMAKERS do!!!

Offensive tackles who were taken in the 1st round in the past 7 years (I'm only going that far).

2012: Matt Kalil no.4 (Minnesota's record: 10-6, Wildcard), Riley Reiff no.23 (Detriot's record: 4-12)

Conclusion: At the end of the day, we're better off grooming later round guys of our owns, and going the FA route for veterans O-linemen. Knowing Accorsi and Reese, Gettleman should stay true to his NY Philosophy.

Yeah, you sold me on that. (LOL) Here is something for you, all of those LT's are very good players. You need good O-lineman to win games whether anyone wants to admit it or not. I don't care where we pick the lineman but we need 1 or 2 starters on it for the future. LT and RG

So if one of the top 3 OT's in this draft is sitting there at 14, you would pass on him?

Moot point cause they will probably all be gone by 14.

The only one that may fall to us would be Lane Johnson. And yes, I would pass on him or trade down. Im not a fan of Lane like many others.

You have to have a defense as close to great as you can, and on offense you have to have playmakers (TD SCORER GUYS). No OL is going to score points for you.

Why did the Ravens win the SB or even get in the SB??? Guys like Flacco, Boldin and Jacoby Jones.

Why did SF end up in the SB?? Kaepernick!

I think Gettleman has been clear about his philosophy. Fill need through FA, so you can go BPA in the draft. If a tackle is BPA, then that's who we're drafting. Honestly the only positions that are untouchable BPA wise are QB and maybe LB.

Granted we don't know how Gettleman values specific positions yet, so he could very well think tackles are overvalued in general, but I doubt it.

Someone please tell me why Joe Thomas, the best LT in the league the past 6years still hasn't get the chance to sniff the Playoffs once. Ain't no Franchise LT going to win you a damn SB.

-NY won it bc of guys like Plax, Cruz, and Nicks

-GB with Nelson and Jennings

-Indy with Manning and Wayne

-Pittsburgh with Holmes

-Baltimore with Jones, Boldin, and Pitta

Mayock said Johnson has the highest potential of the big 3 because of his athleticism. If Johnson is there we take him.
