Why Passing on a WR in the first might not be a option

Exactly. The Saints shitty ass defensive line busted right up the middle and injured cam in that last game. But hey if Patterson was there running a slant Cam would have been fine....LMAO. If I'm GM, I'm using this draft to protect Cam and Luke.

I get the same vibe from this that I get from the "Hey you remember 2005 when Goings went down. We really needed 4th running back then." Not the same thing but I get that vibe. About the only way you get elite talent at wide reciever is to draft in the first or get lucky. To get elite gaurds 2nd -4th round.

The problem some people are missing here is there is not a for sure elite WR in this draft.

Wide receiver is one of the deepest positions in the draft this year.

Cordarrelle Patterson

Keenan Allen

Tavon Austin

Quinton Patton

Justin Hunter

Deandre Hopkins

Robert Woods

Terrance Williams

Cobi Hamilton

Da'Rick Rogers

Markus Wheaton

Aaron Dobson

Marquis Goodwin

Ryan Swope

You really think there's gonna be a run on all of those before we pick in the 2nd?

Just because it is 'deep', does it mean it is good.

This draft class is full of #2-3 WR. Only a handful are considered to be #1 and even then they aren't a solid option.

Funny how you want to do that with the DT position. Which is just as important.

yeah you caught me.

Despite the fact I said I'd be happy with Star, Jenkins, Floyd (If by the grace of god he drops) or Richardson.

I'm saying fug the DT position.

You caught me KKL. Will you never stop outwitting me?

What is it with you and this insatiable hate for LaFell?

Pointing out out a WR's flaws and saying we need an upgrade =/= Hate of a player.

What KKL Blindly defending a player with misguided "highest catch percentage." stats and ignoring those flaws and blaming them on everyone else but LaFell.

He literally thinks half of the WRs in this draft won't be an upgrade over LaFell.

The point of this is

WR, OL, DT and CB are all needs on this roster.

Although unless it's Dee Millinier, Xavier Rhodes or marcus Trufant I think we should Pass on CBs.

There's some solid OTs and OGs after the first round and said could be same of WRs and DTs.

Whatever we take in the first we're going to try to address a need but really none of those three can really be ignored this draft.

I like Lafell and Gettis. I think both deserve roster spots. Not sure if both deserve to #2 receivers or worse #1 receivers due to Smith's age.

Yeah I agree.

LaFell is a great slot guy and a even better #3. Solid hands and firce over the middle but.

Struggles to get separation from bigger, stronger, more physical CBs and can get shutdown some games.

Hey hypocrite I pointed out the flaws in some of the WR in this draft and got labeled a hater.

Sorry if I point out facts and you're not willing to acknowledge them.

Fact when thrown to Lafell has a high catch rate.

Fact no 2nd/3rd option put up great numbers in a Option type offense.

Fact lafell has improve his numbers every year he's been here.

I just point out facts sorry.

it wasn't a shot at lafell

LOL just seems like you are always taking shots at him. Smith and LaFell are the only true option we have in the WR core. The rest are garbage.

@ Rags, Nah bro. Like I said, it seems like growl had a personal vendetta against LaFell. He's a serviceable WR.

Unfortunately this draft will only address one or two needs. Gettleman will have to decide which is a higher priority in this draft.. Protecting Cam or giving Cam weapons.
