No one is reporting any financial details?

Financial details of the contract were not revealed by the team although the USA Today cited the contract included a 900,000 base salary in 2013 and $850,000 signing bonus. James Anderson had three years left on a five-year, $22 million contract he signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2011.

The Bears got him for pennies.......

Must have just come out..I had been looking for it. I like James, but some Bears fans think this was a significant pickup for them.

When you lose two starting LBs to FA any LB signing feels significant. Especially one who, 2 years ago, had 130 tackles, 3 ½ sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. 2010 was a very impressive season for Anderson. Not to mention, at 29, he will be their youngest starting LB.

True. But Panther fans know that our LB corp was depleted that year and he was playing the Mike so he had the opportunities....although he did take advantage of it.

Okay seriously, what is it with the Bears? They tried to sign Munnerlyn, signed Anderson, and we signed DJ Moore. Every year at least 2 players seem to move between us and the Bears.

We ran very similar defenses for years. Not saying that's all of it, but any of our defensive players could transition to the Bears without losing a step.

Or it could be a coincidence... :)
