Can Welker Line up in any other position besides the slot?

You dont have to be able to line up every where to be a no.1. The definition of a No.1 receiver is someone who can constantly make plays and be a "go to guy", which Welker is.

and by the way, before Welker was a Patriot he was also a Dolphin. Being a member of the Dolphins with QBs like AJ Feeley, Fiedler, Frerotte, Rosenfels, Harrington, Culpepper, and Cleo Lemon (wow, what a group!), Welker put up 1313yds (2004), 1379 (2005), and 1064 (2006).

No not really the point was would you choose the guys who line up everywhere and are deep threats as well as chain movers and medium route players or the guy who lines up always in 1 spot. Is not a deep threat but he does catch a lot ball in the middle areas and is just a chain mover.
