Expectations for next year?

I understand this thread may be a little premature, but just wanted an opinion, or feedback on everyones predictions for this season. I am going to miss the majority of the season as I will be heading to Afghanistan again in June. I realize that I am new here, but figured I would create a profile to keep me busy in my down time. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

The topic was premature (at least after the draft) but you get pie for risking your life in Afghanistan, just for me to act all tough behind a computer... pray you make it back safe

I think it could be a 9 or 10 win season. Of course it could also be a 5 or 6 win season.

I think we go 6-4 against out-of-division opponents. It'll depend on how we do against the Saints, Bucs and Falcons. We could win all of those games, but we'll find a way to lose 3 of them.

As a vet with two tours myself I feel ya bro. On the positive, I missed two horrible seasons! 07-08 when the pats went undefeated, and I missed the pickles season. Hopefully you don't miss anything too epic. I believe we are a year or two away from being seriously competitive again. We have a great group of young players on this team to build around. If we continue to draft well, the next few years could be a lot of fun

I think this team is a lot better than many think. In 2012 the Panthers went 6-8-2 (wins by 7 or more points-wins or loses within 6 months-loses by 7 or more points). This isn't a team a cannot compete on a player talent level. I'm not sure what all is needed to put the Panthers into the playoffs but I know it isn't a lot more players.

Hopfully it isn't a new coach and all that is needed is some maturing and growing by the leaders and coaching staff.

This team isn't ready to make a Super Bowl push but they are able to make the playoffs. 6 to 11 wins is the range and maybe one playoff win in the wildcard round.

Too many negative people in this forum. Mostly get whiney when the player they want doesn't get signed or draft and therefore our team sucks. Or they just don't believe anything.

So what I believe. I believe we lost three of four games by one play. One bad decision, one bad play or one stupid mistake and we are 10-6/11-5 instead of 7-9. Our team is for the most part intact. We have a year of experience together and should have good chemistry. We get two leaders back in Kalil and Beason. We have address some issues and still have a few needs which I think we can get address in the draft.

I think Shula will be more even in our approach and not so reliable on the read option as Chudz was. McDermott had his troops playing well last year and I see no reason why they cannot maintain an upward trend.

Couple of wins early and our confidence will be high and we'll will get our first winning season since 2008. I believe 10-6 / 11-5 is achievable.
