Has anyone ever been to Vegas?

I play low tables. Take my time, play carefully, try not to get hot or cold, and rarely change tables.

Every time I go up a hundred or so I put that money in my pocket and don't pull it back out.

I am not saying that I can do it for sustained periods, but I have done it at least 8 or 10 times.

If you are talking poker then maybe. I played seriously for a while and had sustained ROE. There is some skill involved.

If it is blackjack then you either are lying or confused or extremely extremely luck in the short term.

You can't alter the house edge by managing your bankroll or working hot and cold streaks. The only optimal strategy in blackjack is to play by the book.

Your best bet in casino games is to play and enjoy the variance. Variance will make or break your weekend way before that .05% house edge.

Don't know what o tell you man, all I know is I follow the rules, and have only left once a loser.

I pay very close attention to the cards and what has been dealt and what I have seen and I make my choices off of that.

Like you said though, I could just be lucky. But I'm certainly not lying.

Please clarify.....

Heh! We'd decided well before our arrival out there that we were going to get married. We just didn't want to go through all the nonsense that comes with weddings.

So we were out and about at a party (where Steel Panther was play) with some locals I know. They decided it was time to hit the Rhino and we joined them. Spent a few hundred bucks on titties and rum and left at 7am.

Morning desert sun after hours in a strip club is harsh.

Anyway, we went back to the hotel, got our documents, applied for an recieved our marriage license, and got married at the courthouse. Our witnesses were two random dudes off the street- from Virginia if I remember correctly.

Poker is the only game where you aren't playing against the casino, you are paying the casino every hand for the opportunity to take other peoples money. Dumb people on vacation are much easier to beat then a casino.

Hell yea. Besides Speariment Rhino the thing I look forward to the most in Vegas is poker. Last time I went was for a buddy's bachelor party and I had a 12 hour session at Treasure Island. So much fun. Then I turned around and lost it all on blackjack and craps.

I can't wait till NC gets live dealers in poker at the Cherokee.

Great story! I'm looking to have my wife go to Rhino for the first time in May.

I proposed to my wife in vegas. I had originally planned on proposing at the center of Hoover Dam. However it was about 105 degrees and she had no idea we were going there. Needless to say, she wasn't in the mood so I decided to scrap that idea and go with proposal place #2.

I planned on proposing to her in front of the Bellagio fountains. Too many people and we couldn't even hear each other. She was beginning to get claustrophobic and asked me to leave. On to plan number #3.

I asked her to come inside the Bellagio and go on a Gondola ride. She refused and was adamant she would not ever get in one.....scrap that idea.

We ended up going back to our room at the Monte Carlo...I proposed in my underwear.

Atleast she said yes.
