KC trying to trade Branden Albert

A lot of it is on Cam and the OL too, not to mention he's really the 3rd option behind both Smith and Olsen.

Sure, but both Cam and the offensive line should be improved this year.

Maybe I'm being hard on Brandon, I can still see that perfectly placed TD pass he whiffed on in KC though.

Steve and Greg have their fair share of bad drops too. I'm not saying we can't improve that position, but I think he does what he's asked to pretty well.

Do we have the luxury of putting this off yet another season? What looks like only one need at the position could very quickly become two when Steve actually does retire. Problem is there hasn't been a receiver on the roster who's proven themselves capable of being a #1 or even a consistent #2 either. Lafell needs to show out this year.

And there isn't a receiver that is so dominant as to be the BPA at 14 either. Or one that cant be approximated later in the draft. WR isn't as big a need as CB or DT or even a top safety. On the other sidenboth guard and tackle positions are needs as well.

There isnt a DT, CB, OT (you dont draft OG that high) that will be available worthy of the 14th pick. S is questionable as many are not sold on Vacarro.

If it was up to me, id just make the slight reach and draft WR at 14 (not Austin) and DT in the 2nd (Jenkins)

Thats after contacting every team in efforts to trade down and get an extra 2nd or 3rd.

How are we supposed to fit an elite LT in his prime under our cap?

Good Lord guys...

You get the chance to acquire a franchise left tackle in his prime then you make room. You restructure who you need to restructure and cut who you need to cut. It's too important of a position to ignore.
