KC trying to trade Branden Albert

what would be the difference between what we owe Williams verses what we would pay Albert? Or what would be the difference if we added Gross to the equation?

You don't just trade players and their cap number just magically goes away. You are left with a lot of dead money.

June 1st cut of Williams would save the team 5 million in 2013 and roughly 3 million in 2014.

June 1st cut of Gross would save the team 8.7 million in 2013 and roughly 7 million in 2014.

So all together over the next two seasons they would save the team around 24 million.

I wouldn't want Albert as long as we are paying Gross anyway. We save a 2nd which we could use to draft an OL for the future who Gross can mentor. Go DT in the first and a WR or TE in the fourth. I don't know................. Certainly wouldn't pull the trigger with as few picks as we have.

Sit on our hands until the 4th to address one of our biggest needs in WR? You do know Marty Hurney is gone..

We have too many needs to fix it all in this draft. Next year we find the heir to Smitty.

Do we have the luxury of putting this off yet another season? What looks like only one need at the position could very quickly become two when Steve actually does retire. Problem is there hasn't been a receiver on the roster who's proven themselves capable of being a #1 or even a consistent #2 either. Lafell needs to show out this year.
