I think we very clearly need to go DT in the first round, but Smith, Allen, LaFell, Ginn is a pretty dang good line-up.

Unless we catch a falling star and put in our pocket and never let it fade away, I wouldn't go DT in the first. Richardson will be 30 by the time his rookie contract expires. I hate Floyd as a prospect and frankly hope he goes to Tampa.

Star/Hopkins or Allen/Hankins is probably my ideal scenario right now.

So what about CB?? Is this not a big need anymore?

The sensible ones among us aren't looking for every excuse possible to not draft a WR because we know it heralds the end of the Brandon Lafell era.

lol, you're implying that Brandon LaFell is a legit #1? its' common knowledge he's a solid #2/3 wide out. That's all he'll be.

Actually no not really. Gettleman is probably following the Giants model. Load up the DL and rush the heck out of the QB, so your secondary doesn't have to be that good. That's why he filled the secondary out with 1 year contracts on middle of the road players.

A middle of the road player can cover for 3-4 seconds which is all they have to do with a good DL in front of them. Add to that the fact that the Panther's have a pretty stout LB corp. that has good coverage skills and when healthy is a top 5 corp in the NFL. Makes the secondary even less important when following that type of model.

Keep preaching it Ivan.

Im telling everyone, Lafail aint gonna be here after his rookie contract is up. Hes done. Hes mediocre. Nothing but a solid no.3.

I think he's saying that most Panther fans that are sensible are hoping the Panther's draft a WR so Lafell isn't the number 2 anymore, not that he's got the skills to be a #1 wr. He's more of a #3/4 guy on a good team.

AE and Pilares will be gutted soon. Lafail and Gettis probably wont be back after their rookie deals are up. Smitty is retiring one day soon and Ted Ginn isnt a receiver. Joe Adams is Adams until proven. A receiver will be address and it need to be AUSTIN.

The sensible ones can suck it up. Lafail era is coming to an end soon.
