I would like us to draft Tavon Austin then try and get a bigger wr like hakeem knicks or jeremy maclin in next years Free agency. I just see Tavon Austin having the best career out of patterson, and Allen. I could see us regreting passing on Austin 2 to 3 years later, dude is just a playmaker.

I wouldn 't touch Patterson with a 10 foot pole. When teams start to question intelligence that screams Project.

kind of like that one guy... what's his name... oh yeah, cam newton.

i'd take patterson in a heartbeat if he fell to us.

I love how everybody fall back reason when people bring up Patterson being raw and not able to pick up the offense fast is Cam.

My question is did Patterson have the greatest season by a WR in SEC history? Cam did as a QB.

Was Patterson talent so dominate that he led a team to a undefeated season that without him would have won 7 to 8 games. Cam did.

So while Cam was considered raw he had the resume to back up our pick. Patterson doesn't.

Patterson ceiling is way higher , tavon has basically reached his

Troy Williams had a high ceiling as well. Just because you have one doesn't mean you will reach it.

Plus drafting a player that high isn't just about potential. He has to have a instant impact as well.

We all know you wouldnt touch him, you dont even want to draft a wr. Thank God your not running this team or we would be screwed.

If people can keep stating how much they love him and ignore the warning signs. I can keep stating how much of a mistake I think it will be to draft him that high. Everybody can voice their opinions on here.

Keep preaching it Ivan.

Im telling everyone, Lafail aint gonna be here after his rookie contract is up. Hes done. Hes mediocre. Nothing but a solid no.3.

^^This. Count among those that think he's a solid #3 WR and not a #2. I'd rather take Austin as an eventual successor to #89 and look for a legitimate #2 this year or next.

This may be true, but McShay says Tavon Austin is the more polished WR of the two. Don't get me wrong; I like Corderrelle Patterson. However, I think you risk too much using a top pick based on potential; your early picks (especially your first round pick) needs to be focused on players that can have an immediate impact, which I believe Austin and a few others will be. The later picks should be used for raw/developmental prospects.

I love Patterson, don't get me wrong. But people are acting like he's something better than Tavon. The only difference is their size.

People points to his run vs. UGA all the time. What people forgets is that Tavon constantly make those kind of plays every week. That's who he is.
