Ted Ginn joins the Panthers on a one-year deal

He's a tackling machine that is no question but I am not going to put my money on him defending passes on passing downs, you can say what you want but you ain't changing my mind, he is too slow.

Ha, the kid ran an unofficial 4.5 and official 4.58 and 4.59 and led all inside linebackers with a 38 inch vertical at 6'3".

Go find me someone whom you consider a fast tight end and look and post their 40 time coming out of college. Guarantee it will not be significantly faster than an official 4.58.

RECENT NEWS

Panthers signed WR/KR Ted Ginn, formerly of the 49ers, to a one-year contract.

Ginn also drew interest from the Bengals. His main contributions will be in the return game, replacing former third-round bust Armanti Edwards. The Panthers' receiving depth chart still doesn't bring much to the table beyond Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell, so Ginn could challenge for third-wideout snaps. Ginn, who turns 28 next month, averaged 10.2 yards on 32 punt returns in 2012. Mar 21 - 5:10 PM

Patrick Willis, Vilma, Lofton.

LMAO...... Lofton.... Seriously.

Wow. You lost your argument for just using Lofton in a debate about NFL coverage linebackers.

You actually probably picked the worst coverage linebacker in the NFL with Lofton and putting him ahead of Kuechly in pass coverage tells me you either don't watch football or simply just don't understand it.

Here's Kuechly's draft profile from a credible site..... lmao BR....

STRENGTHS

Kuechly is one of the most instinctual and technically sound linebackers to enter the draft in years, and he had the tackle production throughout his career to back it up. He is able to avoid trash at his knees and is elite when it comes to shedding blockers and keeping himself free to the ball. He is excellent working over the top of tight ends to maul and delay their release, and is capable of running with them down the field. He has the sudden burst and long speed to cover a very wide range against the run and is an extremely sure-handed tackler.
