Israel Idonije - how much would he cost?

both Idonije and Hardy can play DE and DT. Johnson - Idonije - Hardy - Alexander would be a scary pass rushing force. Then grab a monster NT in the draft - or even a Casey Hampton type.

How much do you think he would cost on a one or two year deal? Id sign him way before Dwan. At 33 he cant be swamped with offers.

He wouldn't be worth it. Too much cap space and that would probably mean we wouldn't resign Hardy who it better than him

he played about 1/3 of his snaps at DT for the Bears last year. he is 6'6 and 275 as well as a very solid run defender. obviously he has been a very good pass rusher the past three seasons.

I understand the need for a big ole dt, but he is a better player than all the dt left on the market, so I say time to get creative

Yeah Dwan sucks too. we should actually draft a true DT and not force someone to gain 25 pounds and learn a whole new position.

I wouldn't mind him. Add as much pass rush as you can. Im surprised that he is still in the market. Idonije can even be a GUNNER on punt coverage. I think I remember my bro n law (Vikings fan) telling me one time that he was also once an OLineman. Maybe??
