What happened in the last 24 hours that would change someones opinion of our GM? Mitchell, Moore, rumor of Ginn? 3 absolute scrubs...hooray? this offseason is an ongoing disaster. to be fair he didn't have any flexibility anyway.

I didn't slam him earlier, and I won't praise him now. Lets wait and see what happens on Fall Sundays over the next few years.

this place is full of knee-jerkers, one way or the other.... this thread is another example. after 48 hours of open fa people killing Gettlemen now after one signing and one visit "it's all good"

Not to mention Getts did exactly what he said he was going to do all along. I think people have trouble understanding they are living day-to-day while these things are ongoing at the same time.

I mean don't get me wrong, I like Gettleman and the moves that have been made. But they're fillers... I mean DJ Moore, Mitchell, both add depth to the secondary which is key but neither are game changers. Ginn is a game changer for ST, which is my favorite move so far.

If he could have snagged Pollard (Titans just signed him 1 yr deal) than we'd be talking.

But let's face it, he's been hand-cuffed by Hurney's leftover mess and has been managing the small amount of money, we do have, judiciously .

I'm not expecting anything crazy, but I like where he could be taking us...

Gettleman has brought in quality vets to push for time in positions of need. With a salary cap in place, it's impossible to have a team filled with household (recognizable) names in the NFL.

The teams that splurge in free agency will pay for it later. Gettleman is preparing for Cam's contract, which will be one of the largest in the NFL when his time comes. Hardy will get paid top dollar. Luke will also demand a huge contract. Have to keep it all in perspective. Teams usually only have 1 or 2 players at each level (DB-LB-DL-OL-WR-OL-TE-RB) you can identify. The rest are role players.

Not sure at this point if Cams contract will be that big. I mean if you base it on the huggers here, yes, but if performances are what the contract is based on, he has a ways to go for the monster payday.

Maybe this year, he will continue to grow and the game will continue to slow down for him. What would help him a great deal would be for the Oline to solidify.

Gettleman has made chicken salad so far, if you know what I mean.

Gettleman has given Rivera the tools to win. He has signed two must keep FA in the Captain and Dwan.

He also signed several veterans on defense to give our young players time to develop and mentor. He has done more with less than Hurney eve did. With a good daft, it will be up to coaching. Gettleman has done his job well so far.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
