Bears Fans talk DJ Moore...

hey i know you idiots are more concerned with stupid poo like "attitude" and "grit" or whatever it is low info posters are obsessed over but here's a smart dude talking real words about the person the team you cheer for just signed.

Just saw that the Panthers signed DJ Moore. That's a nice pickup, for what I assume was pretty cheap. He's a quality nickel DB if you run a zone-heavy scheme, and he's got a serious knack for turnovers. Dude has hands like a wide receiver, he's smart in coverage, and he breaks on passes really really well. Also he was a pretty good punt returner in college IIRC, but he never really got to do that in Chicago because, you know, greatest return man in history and whatnot.

The downside is that Moore doesn't have quite enough long speed to keep up with fast receivers downfield, so (1) he's never going to be an outside corner and (2) you probably don't want to put him man-to-man on a slot receiver running a seam route. Some big slot guys in the Jason Avant/Marques Colston mode will also have a significant size advantage on him, but that's never really been a problem, maybe because his vertical leap is like 40". Even considering the speed limitations, he's a very good nickel corner. To tell you the truth, I don't really know why the Bears let him hit the market.
