DJ Moore Signs 1 Year Deal w/ Panthers

This was a great move. Munnerlyn was holding out for a big pay day - and he was not worth it. Rembmer what Gettleman said during his press conference? He's going to pay people what they are worth. Moore will be a solid player for us. With Norman, Moore, Dockery and Thomas, we have a nice young stable of corners. Godfrey and hopefully Mitchell and Campbell will make our secondary much better than last year. Great moves so far.

Gettleman is working on that as I speak. Signing Boothe would be massive for us.

Yup! I love and want Boothe. He's an instant upgrade over Hangman. If we decide to keep hangman around, now we have a good starter in Boothe and a solid backup in Hangman.

I really hope Gman can add another vet DT: Dwan, Ellis, "Branch", Corey Williams, Marks. In that case, we can go into the draft with WR/DT/FS with the first three picks. We wouldnt look that bad after all.

Old school Hurney: "hey Cap here's a blank check, fill in whatever you feel is appropriate"

Gettleman: "oh you want a fat contract, well good luck with that.... go test free agency.... things not going so well huh? ... here's a reasonable deal... what's going on? .... still don't want to sign it? ..... oh well F#@K OFF we'll just sign someone else"

I think I just jizzed my pants.

Glorious is it not.

Campbell played very well last year and if we draft a good young prospect like Rambo, we will be fine next year. We can work on Godfrey and all that next year if it proves to be a glaring issue this year. Campbell could be the solid steal that everybody is looking for in the draft. As good as he played though, I wonder why it took the coaches so long to play him in front of Naka.

I have to think it is a combination of a couple of things. One being the experience Nakamura brings. DJ didn't get enough opportunities to warrant switching players. The Panthers just didn't trust DJ enough. Once he got his chance though, he did what he was supposed to do. Make the position his.

My biggest misery though, is, they gave Nakamura way too much money to not play him. Got snookered on that deal. Nakamura proved that a lack of athletic ability is gonna come out. Smarts only gets you so far, and as of now, it gets him ST play and what they call depth.

If our kids grow up this offseason, we should be in good shape in the back end.
